GEBT 2025 showcases smart building solutions and low-carbon innovations

The 22nd Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) expo held from 9 to 12, 2025, in the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, with the Guangzhou International Lighting expo (GILE). GEBT 2025 included 3,188 exhibitors from 20 countries across 250,000 square metres, showcasing cutting-edge solutions in low-carbon intelligent buildings, smart power distribution, and home automation, with a focus on sustainability and digital innovation in the building sector.
GEBT 2025 brought together industry leaders and innovators to showcase cutting-edge technologies, innovative solutions, and real-world successes in energy conservation and carbon reduction in buildings. Themes included “low-carbon intelligent building”, “home automation”, and “smart power distribution”. Several forums discussed the most recent advancements in electrical technology, as well as the problems and prospects for low-carbon building development. Notably, New Opportunities for China’s Building Electrics and Home Automation Abroad and the OffiSmart Smart Office and Space Management Summit made their debuts in Guangzhou, encouraging cross-industry collaboration.

Offering an international platform to showcase advancements in electrical engineering and intelligent technology
GEBT 2025’s fascinating themes and diversified displays drew industry players from all around the world. The expo received professional delegations from Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Hong Kong-Macau region. These included the KNX User Club, the Malaysian Engineering Planning and Design group, the Indonesian Architectural Design delegation, Macau’s hotel facilities management group, the Irish Enterprise Business Exchange group, and the Vietnamese Construction Management media team.
GEBT further collaborated with renowned international industry media from Australia, India, Ireland, Malaysia, Pakistan, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, the Middle East, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The event attracted various international media outlets and key opinion consumers (KOCs) to witness the allure of innovation and technology firsthand while also giving exhibitors comprehensive support in exploring new potential in building technology and home automation. Finally, it assisted exhibitors in fostering partnerships between Chinese firms and the worldwide market, thereby accelerating the industry’s international development.
The biennial Light + Building event serves as the focal point for Messe Frankfurt’s Light + Building Technology fairs, which include the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition and Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology. The next edition will be held from March 8 to 13, 2026, in Frankfurt, Germany.
Messe Frankfurt conducts various trade events for the Asian light and building technology industries, including Shanghai Intelligent Building Technology, Shanghai Smart Home Technology, and Parking China. Hall 12.2: From smart audio-visual entertainment to home automation control systems
Home automation technologies, such as entertainment, security, and smart appliance systems, were the main focus of this hall. Attendees were immersed in smart living settings that represented the new generation’s intelligent lifestyle.
