Gyproc India announces Beyond Dimensions Design Challenge 2025

Gyproc India’s Beyond Dimensions program enables young architects to experiment with sustainable plasterboard technology, reinventing interior spaces via efficiency, creativity, and sustainability.

Saint Gobain Gyproc, an industry leader in innovative drywall solutions, has launched “Beyond Dimensions,” a ground-breaking design challenge aimed at promoting sustainability in interior spaces. As the demand for efficient and ecologically responsible construction develops, this initiative encourages young architects and designers to experiment with adaptive reuse and rethink traditional interior design techniques using advanced plasterboard technologies. Running from mid-January to February 2025, the tournament invites contestants to incorporate speed, efficiency, and sustainability into their innovative solutions.

The competition occurs in two stages. In the first round, a renowned committee will review applications and select the top eight finalists based on their originality, usefulness, and sustainable approach. These finalists will advance to the National Finale in Mumbai in April 2025, where they will present their concepts to a distinguished panel. The winners will be revealed and honoured at the event, marking an important milestone in their professional careers.

Gyproc India has performed a nationwide outreach among students in key cities such as Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Calicut, Coimbatore, and Kolkata. These sessions brought together students and industry professionals, providing insights into the benefits of plasterboard technology and its role in building modern, sustainable interiors. Gyproc India promotes a greater awareness of new building solutions and their long-term advantages through direct interaction with participants.

Sudeep Kolte, Managing Director of Gyproc India, commented on the initiative, “Beyond Dimensions  is more than a competition—it is a platform to shape the future of interior spaces through sustainable,  high-performance light weight construction solutions. By pushing the boundaries of conventional design,  we are enabling the next generation of architects and designers to create environments that are  intelligent, efficient, and built for tomorrow.”

In addition, Gayatri Ojha, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Gyproc India, states, “Young minds will define the future of design. Through this initiative, we encourage them to innovate with purpose,  blending creativity with sustainability to transform interior spaces.”

Gyproc India is devoted to promoting green construction methods among young professionals. As part of this project, the top three winners will go on an exclusive worldwide study tour, where they will learn about global advances in sustainable construction and architectural innovation. Additionally, the Top 8 finalists will get access to the IGBC Certification Course on Green Built Environment, which will provide them with critical knowledge in sustainable design. All participants will receive certificates of participation, demonstrating their commitment to environmentally responsible activities. To strengthen industry-academia collaboration, Gyproc India will offer additional incentives to the top three colleges with the most submissions.

Gyproc India’s Beyond Dimensions program continues to encourage sustainable innovation in building while developing tomorrow’s design leaders. By encouraging young talent to adopt plasterboard technology and reconsider established approaches, the company is laying the groundwork for a greener, more efficient future in interior architecture.
