LED Expo Mumbai delivered innovation from design to components

With record-breaking footfall, LED Expo Mumbai showcased cutting-edge lighting innovations, empowering industries with smart, sustainable, and design-forward lighting technologies.
The 29th edition of LED Expo Mumbai, India’s only exhibition covering the entire value chain of the LED industry, saw a record 12,878 visitors from the architecture, design, LED, and lighting industries from 299 Indian cities and 18 countries, witnessing a rise in attendance by 16 percent. The expo received 98 percent visitor satisfaction in acquiring knowledge about product innovations and quality. Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India organised the show floor, drawing visitors from various industries such as lighting, electronics, architecture and interior design, project management firms, real estate, energy service companies, etc. The expo, which featured 233 exhibitors, showcased a diverse range of emerging technologies that represent the industry’s future.

Indoor-outdoor lights, architectural and decorative lights, landscape lights, commercial lights, lighting and LED components, accessories, and raw materials were among the many products arranged on the showfloor, which had a strong product showcase that appealed to both lighting manufacturers and real estate professionals, including architects and interior designers. This event provided a comprehensive showcase of industry innovations. In addition, the expo hosted industry-led knowledge sessions that highlighted important uses of lighting, such as enhancing public spaces, reducing light pollution, and enhancing landscape lighting, among other things.
On day one, the Chief Guest Dominic Romell, President of the Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry and the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (MCHI-CREDAI) and Managing Director of the Romell Group, encouraged real estate professionals to attend the show. Impressed by the product showcase, he added, “There are wonderful products here, nearly 6,000 products, and I have seen about 1,000 products, and these are worth watching. Every exhibitor has a different aspect of it, right from nature to biomimicry. So, you have everything under one roof. These products can help add a premium rating to the real estate projects and add value to flat sales.”
Speaking about the scope of business that LED Expo provides, Talanteq Technology India Manager Tushar Shiwal opined, “We have recently launched submersible LED lights which come with IP-68 certification, assuring a waterproofing feature. We also have some utility-daily-use products range, which includes solar lights. We started participating in November 2022 and have fetched our 80-90 percent of customers from the LED Expo’s Mumbai and Delhi editions since then.”
Siddharth Lunkad, Co-Founder of Dinamoo, a new exhibitor, stated, “We are a three-year-old company, mainly focusing on outdoor lights. Specialising in street and garden poles, we have launched our architectural light at the LED Expo Mumbai. India is currently moving from cost to design, making us more relevant as we are a design-led company. We have also introduced wind- and solar-powered street poles in the expo, which is new in the market. We are very happy to choose LED Expo Mumbai as our first platform to exhibit our products. The response has been very good, and we hope to participate in the future as well.”

According to Divyesh Chouhan, National Sales Manager at Prisha Illumination: “We specialise in designer and architectural lighting solutions. We have launched our Brun series, designed for outdoor spaces, known for its sleek, modern design and energy efficiency. We regularly participate in the LED Expo. We have received very nice footfall and found experienced people and buyers visiting from various cities across India.”
Pradyumna Shandilya, Director, Beacon Optronics, said, “We manufacture LED lenses for general lighting and industrial lighting segments such as medicine, stadiums, warehouses, etc. All our lenses are manufactured at our facility based in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Due to the localisation, brands are open to sourcing components locally, such as housings, lenses and innovative products. At LED Expo Mumbai, we have showcased our Made-in-India LED lenses. During our every participation, LED Expo has ensured we come across genuine buyers and a very good footfall that generates key leads and good business.”
A visitor, Ar Jhanavi Parikh, Architect, Urbannest Design Studio, expressed, “I have visited LED Expo Mumbai for the first time and found it really good and informative. I am impressed looking at the wide range of the products and the typology. As an architect, I am happy to see products related to smart lighting, landscape lighting and customised decorative lighting products on the show floor for both indoor and outdoor applications.”
Vijay Kumar Gupta, Managing Director of Kwality Photonics and LEDChips Indus Pvt Ltd, explained, “The best part of LED Expo is the grand participation by the Indian manufacturers in huge numbers. The lighting industry is very demanding for factors like different colours, wavelengths, CRIs, shapes and designs, and beam angle, to name a few. I was pleased to find solutions for each and every requirement in some form or the other. I would say it was a great eye-opener and a very good experience.”

Ar. Shreyas Patil of Shreyas Patil Architects shared his thoughts on the wide variety of product categories. “This is my first visit to LED Expo, and there are good product varieties. We tend to generally forget products available in the market. A platform like this helps us explore broad categories such as concealed LEDs and designer lamps. I also liked various weatherproof products displayed with excellent finishes. I feel LED Expo is a great exhibition where we can brush through a lot of innovation under one roof.”
In response, Chayan Jain, Co-founder & Marketing Head, Swift Illumination, said, “It was a great learning experience to see a lot of insights and innovations coming up and witness products live. It is best for the people from backgrounds such as architects, end customers or anyone associated with the lighting industry.”
The upcoming LED Expo New Delhi will take place at Yashobhoomi, IICC, Dwarka, Delhi, from November 27 to 29, 2025. The next edition of LED Expo Mumbai will take place from May 7 to 9, 2026, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Goregaon, Mumbai.
