Unispace designs a future-ready HP workspace in Gurgaon

HP’s Gurgaon headquarters, designed by Unispace, combines adaptive architecture, cutting-edge technology, and environmentally friendly aspects to reinvent modern work settings.

HP India collaborated with Unispace India on a concept of modern workspace innovation that combines HP’s fundamental principles with adaptable, sustainable architecture to create a dynamic, hybrid-ready space. This innovative project, located in Gurgaon, exemplifies a creative approach to developing employee-centric spaces that seamlessly integrate work, collaboration, and innovation.

The workspace is organised into four key themes: growthscapes, socialscapes, playscapes, and techscapes. Each area is intended to enhance various aspects of work life, ranging from creativity and technical growth to collaboration and wellbeing.

Growthscapes prioritise employee well-being through biophilic design, which includes natural light, vegetation, and ergonomic furniture. This approach is consistent with the growing trend of wellness-orientated office settings, which have been found to increase productivity and job satisfaction.

Socialscapes, which feature open design with lounge spaces and shared tables, promote spontaneous connections and cross-departmental collaboration. This design concept recognises the value of collaborative spaces in modern offices, which promote innovation and team collaboration.

Playscapes, on the other hand, aims to commemorate HP’s cultural legacy and ethos by combining aspects that pay homage to the company’s past and provide spaces for employees to rest, fostering a healthy balance of work and play. This area illustrates HP’s commitment to promoting innovation and maintaining a positive work environment.

HP’s commitment to innovation may also be demonstrated in Techscapes, which uses adaptive, intelligent technology to support hybrid work requirements. The design is intended to enable a variety of jobs, including client presentations, group collaboration, and individual focus. Interactive digital displays, adjustable dividers, and energy-efficient motion-sensor lighting are among the features. This section boosts productivity and maintains HP’s position as a technology leader by aligning workstation design with current technological requirements.

The HP office’s LEED Gold accreditation demonstrates that sustainability has been a major design principle, with a variety of eco-friendly features that contribute to the company’s sustainability aims. Energy-efficient lighting systems using motion-sensing technology save energy, while water-saving fixtures use much less potable water. Furthermore, air-purifying green walls loaded with real plants improve indoor air quality, resulting in a healthier workplace for employees.

The widespread use of recycled materials in buildings and interiors indicates HP’s commitment to lowering its environmental effect. By prioritising these sustainable practices, the workplace meets strict environmental criteria and creates a healthier and more productive work environment for its staff.

In awareness of the changing nature of work, HP India’s workplace design promotes flexibility and hybrid work arrangements. The layout includes flexible, unassigned seating to accommodate a variety of work styles and schedules. This adaptability is notably visible in the Techscapes area, which features movable digital screens that allow for smooth changes between tiny product demos and bigger town hall gatherings.

Interactive screens linked to a unique content management system provide seamless communication and collaboration. Furthermore, adjustable divider screens make client demos and product debuts easier, maximising area utilisation and improving overall functionality. This thorough approach ensures that the workspace can readily accommodate the different needs of both employees and clients.

Aside from being utilitarian, Unispace’s design for the HP India workplace includes components that provide employees a sense of worth, drive, and engagement. The design incorporates social areas, biophilic features, and high-tech installations to ensure that workers are productive and physically and mentally supported. By addressing employees’ diverse demands, this all-encompassing strategy promotes a good work-life balance in a high-performance environment.

The new HP Gurgaon office raises the benchmark for business settings in India and beyond. It highlights how well-thought-out, flexible design can result in a motivating, productive work environment that is consistent with the company’s values, worker welfare, and sustainability. Unispace efficiently translated HP’s vision into an environment that is both future-ready and deeply related to its employees’ current requirements.
