Viva ACP 3D louvers transform façade aesthetics

In this interaction, Nitin Jain of Viva ACP walks us through the company’s product portfolio and how its recently launched 3D louvres are redefining façade aesthetics. Nitin also discusses the company’s sustainability initiatives and why it is important for architects and builders to choose FR-grade panels.

Please briefly walk us through your product portfolio.
We have a vast product portfolio. Our core product is aluminium composite panels or ACP sheets. We have had a lot of new offerings of late. One of these is the pre-coated solid aluminium sheets made of 2 to 3 mm thick aluminium, which are used for facades and high-rise buildings. The product is also catching up in the big export market. Apart from that, we are also coming up with planks, louvres, baffles, ceilings, and, shortly, aluminium roofing. Another exclusive product that we offer for facades is the aluminium honeycomb sheets. Our other specialised product is ACCP, or aluminium corrugated core panel.

Can you throw some light on the recently launched 3D louvres?
We have been manufacturing 3D facades for the last few years. These facades give an aesthetic look to facades. Our factory is fully equipped to manufacture our clients’ 3D louves and 3D ACP panels. All our 3D louvres are manufactured in-house and of impeccable quality, making us stand out from our competitors. Along with our louvres, we also provide AutoCAD drawings to our fabricators.

Could you elaborate on your products’ fire safety features and the certifications they comply with?
In today’s world, fire safety norms and codes are important for any facade material. We also educate architects and facade consultants on using only flame-retardant (FR) materials. NFPA 285, a system test, and EN 13501, a certification for fire safety, have been accredited internationally by ECCA. All our products have been tested and certified by Thomas Bell-Wright and ESL, both labs based in Dubai, UAE.

Could you walk us through your key sustainability initiatives across production, manufacturing, and supply chain?
Decarbonisation is very important, especially as everyone is moving towards sustainability. Our first initiative, about 6 years ago, was the installation of solar panels that generated approximately 600 kW of solar power. This has allowed us to use that much less electricity as of today. Secondly, we have come up with our solid aluminium product, which is 100 per cent aluminium and 100 per cent recyclable. Once the facade is removed, it can be recycled and reused after 20 or 25 years. We are moving towards sustainability and aiming for a 100 percent carbon-free plant in the next 10 years.

What is the message that you wish to give architects and builders?
One of the key things that we try to educate them on is to go for FR-grade panels because, when there is fire on the façade, people generally don’t die because of fire but because of the gaseous and toxic smoke. So, it is very important to use FR-grade panels. Secondly, we are developing many materials and colours for architects and developers. We showcase our products on many platforms, including expos like Roof India, where they can reach us easily.
