Waaree Energies secures 68 MW solar module order from Gensol Engineering
With an installed capacity of 12 GW, Waaree Energies Limited is the largest producer of solar PV modules in India.
The company has successfully delivered 68 MW of their Bi-55 bifacial dual glass framed modules to Gensol Engineering Limited. The Mahagenco solar PV project is currently commissioning these modules, which were delivered in March 2024.
It is anticipated that the installation of Waaree’s bifacial modules will increase the Mahagenco project’s energy output and expand the area’s potential for renewable energy. We think that these modules are perfect for large-scale solar projects because of their cutting-edge technology and design, which guarantee long-term durability and improved performance.
“We are delighted to work with Gensol Engineering Limited on the solar PV project,” says Hitesh Chimanlal Doshi, Chairman & Managing Director of Waaree Energies Limited, with regards to this strategic alliance. We think that initiatives like Mahagenco, which are fueled by Waaree’s solar solutions, are important in realising the country’s vision of a greener future as India moves closer to its ambitious renewable energy targets. It is anticipated that this programme will not only lower carbon emissions but also promote economic expansion and job possibilities in the renewable energy industry.
This order demonstrates Waaree Energies’ dedication to using its solar solutions to advance India’s renewable energy industry. The Bi-55 modules, which are renowned for their high calibre and energy efficiency, are anticipated to be crucial to the Mahagenco project’s commissioning.
