World Architecture Festival 2025

World Architecture Festival (WAF) 2025 is all set to take place from 12th to 14th November 2025 at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami, FL, USA. The festival will include the world’s largest live architectural awards programme, live presentations, and sessions dedicated to celebrating architectural excellence. The festival is set to showcase over 400 shortlisted projects from across the globe, along with inspiring sessions from distinguished speakers.
Some of the esteemed speakers at WAF 2025, all set to make its debut in the Americas, are
Bernardo Fort-Brescia, Founding Principal, Arquitectonica
A fellow of the American Institute of Architects and a recipient of the Urban Land Institute’s Lifetime Achievement Award, Bernardo has helped shape modern Miami and made Arquitectonica known worldwide through his designs. With a presence worldwide, Arquitectonica has designed buildings in 59 countries.
Andrés Duany (FAIA, CNU), Founding Partner, DPZ CoDesign
Andrés co-founded DPZ CoDesign in 1980. He has a keen interest in town and regional planning and has been a visiting professor at several American universities. One of his notable works is the town of Seaside, which kindled a thought on alternatives to suburban sprawl. Andrés has co-founded the Congress for the New Urbanism and authored several books. He is also a recipient of several awards.
Dawn Gunter (AIA, RID), Principal & Managing Director, Gensler
Based out of Gensler’s Miami office, Dawn focuses on designing and managing projects and specialises in finance, life sciences, and commercial office spaces. With a strong focus on client relationships, Dawn serves as the point of contact for several of Gensler’s big projects. Her approach to delivering top-quality design combines Gensler’s research with client expectations.
Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk, Founding Partner, DPZ CoDesign
Alongside being the co-founder of DPZ, Elizabeth also serves as a professor at the University of Miami and directs the urban design program. She co-founded the Congress for the New Urbanism. She has co-authored several books, and her interests include buildings, regional plans, and zoning codes, including Miami 21.
Tom Wiscombe, Principal, Tom Wiscombe Architecture (TWA)
With over three decades of experience, Tom is based out of Los Angeles and is known for his strong shapes, attractive visuals, and creative construction, all with an environment-conscious approach. He creates exemplary projects by combining his design skills and deep-building understanding.
