CMRL plans to project comprises two corridors in Chennai and Maharashtra

Metro Rail: Chennai Metro Rail Ltd (CMRL) has plan to project comprises two corridors covering a length of 45.1 km. The first line is between Chennai Central and St Thomas Mount covering 22 km and another between Washermanpet and Chennai Airport covering 23.1 km. Recently the tunnelling work on the 3.4 km long stretch between Washermanpet and Chennai Central got over. With this the track laying between this stretch has commenced and likely to complete in three months in Chennai and Maharashtra.
