Suzlon to co-develop 800 MW wind projects with Chinese company [28 Mar 2012]

Suzlon Group announced the signing of a global strategic partnership agreement with CGN Wind Energy Co. (CGNWE). The agreement calls for the development of 800 MW of domestic and international projects over the next three years. A working team has been set up to explore the most viable projects globally, covering countries such as Brazil, South Africa, India and China.
CGNWE is a wholly owned subsidiary of China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group. It is one of the largest wind power developers in China with installed capacity of around 3,000 MW.
Tulsi Tanti, Chairman –Suzlon, said, “We are delighted to partner with CGNWE for the development of wind projects globally with our latest generation of turbines. We hope that Suzlon’s extensive experience in across 32 markets worldwide will be valuable for CGNWE in its endeavor to operate wind farms globally. The professional approach of CGNWE and its experience in developing large projects make this a symbiotic partnership”.
