Anupam bags Rs. 4 Cr order from Hyundai Engg, Korea [August 20120813]
Crane maker Anupam has bagged the first order from Hyundai Engineering Co. Ltd. (HEC), Korea to supply cranes and hoists worth Rs. 4 crore. These specialised cranes will be installed in their Geothermal Power Plant set up by Kenya Electricity Generating Company, Kenya. Anupam cranes will be used for the critical service and installation of steam turbines, pumps and generators at the geothermal power plant, based at Olkaria, Kenya.
Anupam would supply 2 double girder 40T/10T cranes, 2 5T hoists and 2 single girder 10T cranes. According to a company statement, these cranes are designed to specially suit the power plant operations which require precise control of all movements in handling and positioning of large power plant machinery during overhaul periods.
