Gamesa India bags ReNew Power Order

Gamesa Wind Turbines Pvt. Ltd., the Indian subsidiary of Gamesa – world leader in design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of wind turbines, has recently bagged an order from ReNew Wind Energy (Jath) P Ltd. a subsidiary of ReNew Power Ventures Pvt. Ltd. for commissioning 74.65 MW of wind turbines. The order includes 50 MW of G97 – 2.0MW and 24.65 MW of G58 – 850 kW machines.
Gamesa Wind Turbines Pvt. Ltd, over the last one year, has observed an increasing presence from Independent Power Producers in its order books. The order from ReNew Power – was issued on July 11, 2012 and the project will stand complete in this financial year as per the contract. The machines will be installed in Maharashtra. This is amongst the many ‘75 MW’ single orders received by Gamesa and are significant as it is the largest order for the G97 2.0 MW platform in Maharashtra. G97 2.0 MW turbine has been especially designed for low-wind sites in states like Maharashtra and was launched by the company earlier this year.
