The 18-story project will feature eco-friendly systems, public spaces, and modern amenities, promoting sustainability and community involvement.

The excavation, foundation and basement work on the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s (PCMC) new administration building has been completed. The attention has turned to the ground level of the 18-story skyscraper, which is being built on an 8.65-acre plot near Auto Cluster in Chinchwad.

The ₹ 286 crore project would include modern facilities and is meant to meet green building requirements. The PCMC hopes to get a 5-star rating from the Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment Council and Platinum accreditation from the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). Key eco-friendly features, such as solar energy panels, a water recycling system, and green spaces, will help to create an environmentally friendly environment for both residents and employees. K.M.V. Project Ltd, based in Hyderabad, is the contractor, while Sunil Patil Associates is the architect and project management consultant.

In addition to administrative offices, the facility will house an auditorium with seating for 462 corporators, a library, an exhibition hall, a museum, a multi-purpose hall, and areas for cultural exhibitions and community gatherings.

Commissioner and Administrator Shekhar Singh commented on the project, saying, “The new administration facility will boost personnel efficiency and ensure people’ access to critical services. The PCMC is dedicated to fostering an inclusive atmosphere and delivering comprehensive services to the public under one roof.

The ground floor will house a variety of facilities for readings, cultural performances, and community events, encouraging increased public participation while also serving administrative responsibilities. Special attention is being placed on increasing public participation.
