AEROCOMPACT introduces COMPACTWALL TR for solar facade systems

AEROCOMPACT offers COMPACTWALL TR, a long-lasting solar facade solution that guarantees efficient load distribution, ventilation, and structural integrity for sandwich panels.

The distinctive long rail TR system is already used on their COMPACTMETAL roof systems with sandwich panels; this is since it redirects all compressive and tensile stresses through the sandwich into the building structure, ensuring that the panels are neither squeezed nor damaged. As a result, it is transferable to the COMPACTMETAL TR system for solar facades.

Distributing loads intelligently

“Sandwich panels are not designed for additional loads, and the installation of PV modules can lead to distortion and damage,” explains AEROCOMPACT’s Head of Product Management Albert Vonbun.

AEROCOMPACT employs its well-established COMPACTMETAL TR system for the facade solution. The exceptionally sturdy rails transfer the loads generated by wind, suction, and pressure forces into the wall stanchions, which can be built of wood or steel. As a result, the thin sheet screws absorb shear stresses, while the sandwich drilling screw transfers wind loads straight to the building structure.

Users have the freedom to choose modules regardless of span width thanks to force transmission via rails. The raised rail design allows for optimal ventilation of the PV modules.

COMPACTWALL TR will be accessible across Europe beginning February 27. Just in time for the market introduction, all AEROCOMPACT facade solutions may now be designed using the AEROTOOL software. On customer request, the organisation also provides planning as a separate service.

AEROCOMPACT in Intersolar Europe

AEROCOMPACT is launching COMPACTWALL TR and other new products at Intersolar Europe, the solar industry’s premier trade event. Visitors can discover AEROCOMPACT from the 7th to the 9th of May at the Intersolar Europe fairgrounds in Munich, Hall A6, Stand 560.
