Smart cities are focused on extending the life of natural resources, lowering operating expenses such as energy and water use, and ensuring human comfort, safety, and productivity. Other distinguishing characteristics would be the use of non-toxic, recycled, and environmentally friendly building materials.
For India to realise the ambitious infrastructure plan of smart cities, it would need not only safe design but also intelligent materials and solutions that make the construction process quicker and faster. Smart materials and structures are among the most promising technologies for improving lifetime efficiency and dependability today.
Ace Update, based on the theme of “Designs that make Indian cities smart”, is organised a live interaction on February 16th from 4 PM to 5.30 PM. The interaction engaged architects, builders, developers, and experts who discussed about sustainable architecture, design, and construction, as well as the practice of creating buildings that have as little impact on the natural world as possible.
