Armsel MHE offers total lifting solutions in the Indian market. Recently, the Company became subsidiary of Kito Corporation, Japan. Brief us about the journey of ARMSEL MHE.
Armsel MHE is a leading provider of lifting solutions with a track record in pioneering, leading and shaping the developments in the lifting industry. Established in 1974 as Proprietorship concern, Armsel started business in the line of manufacturing Material Handling Equipment. The company followed the natural growth pattern because of commitment to Quality, Delivery and Competitive Price and therefore, has become a reputed and leading supplier of Material Handling Equipments in India. Along with the increase in the business, the company added and merged the manufacturing resources to the optimum required level and became Armsel MHE Pvt Ltd in 1998. Over the period, the Company added, diversified and consolidated its operations to align with the material handling equipment business and market requirement.
 
The business is segmented into standard lifting equipment and special lifting equipment. Armsel offers all types of EOT & HOT, Goliath, Gantry, Portal, Semi Portal, Jib, Wall Mounted, cranes etc. and Electric Wire Rope Hoists, Electric Chain Hoists, Chain Pulley Blocks, Electric Winches and other lifting tackles in standard and custom built models.  It also includes crane accessories like lifting tongs, grabs, rotators, spreader beams and all other special lifting attachments to customer needs. Electrical accessories like crane bus bar system, angle iron shrouded bus bar, enclosed bus bar type, current collectors, festoon cable arrangements, and cable reeling drums are also offered. Further a new service division is being set up to undertake total repairs, modification and refurbishment of any cranes and offer maintenance, services to any make of cranes.

Tell us about your manufacturing facilities.
The Registered Office of the company is situated in Bangalore. Liaison, marketing and administration departments work are at this office.
 
The factory is situated in Govt. Developed KIADB Jigani Industrial Area, own land of 1,40,000 Sq. feet area, Built up factory working area of 48,500 Sq. feet, and connected electric power of 150 KVA. The Factory working area is made up of five production sheds of one production test bay. All these bays are serviced with two numbers overhead cranes of suitable capacity. The full fledged facility is equipped with end-to-end manufacturing system comprising of machine shop, fabrication/structural division, assembly division and testing. A state-of-the-art Auto CAD design department takes care of design engineering and drawings. 
 
Workshop consists of heavy and light machine shop, structural fabrication shop, electrical shop, Assembly, finishing, painting, testing, dispatch and other facilities.
 
For forging, foundry, hardening and tempering of material and non-destructive testing, we sub contract the activity to approved vendors.  A full-fledged design and development cell supports the above facilities and quality assurance departments with modern computer aided design back up, with testing and training centre.
 
Armsel MHE operational focus areas are marketing and sales, product development, assembly, and maintenance services. Products are based on modularity and standardisation and make use of the latest technology and cost-efficient designs with efficient use of raw materials. Maintaining a uniform product platform gives valuable flexibility in terms of capacity utilisation and resource allocation.

The Registered Office of the company is situated at 25, Koramangala Industrial Area, Bangalore 560095. Liaison, Marketing and Administration departments are at Office. The factory is situated in Govt. Developed KIADB Jigani Industrial Area. We have representatives in Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Visakhapatnam, Jamshedpur, Bellary etc. Having representatives in most industrial zones of the country has helped us in sales and service.
 
Armsel MHE volumes and nationwide reach provide access to the most cost-efficient sourcing opportunities. Ongoing efficiency improvement programs continue to target opportunities in manufacturing and sourcing. Highlight the achievements of your company for the year 2010.
On October 1st 2010, Armsel MHE Pvt Ltd became subsidiary of Kito Corporation, Japan. Kito Corporation is a global leading manufacturer of electric hoists with 10 subsidiaries and presence in over 47 countries. With this acquisition Kito will have its presence in India and in turn all of the globally renowned products of Kito will now be available in India.
 
We have also executed some prestigious projects such as the wagon repair shop of East Central Railways, Sinter Plant for Rourkela Steel Plant, HPCL – Mittal Energy Ltd. etc.
 
What are your prime targets for the year 2011?
Our prime target for 2011 is to introduce Kito products into the Indian market. To enable us to do so, we will be looking to establish a strong distribution network across the country.
