Crompton Greaves and Eastern Engineering collaborate to build cutting-edge solar street lighting in Birmitrapur Municipality, improving sustainability and safety.

By illuminating important off-grid places, the Birmitrapur Municipality hoped to improve security and safety for the general people. Reducing accidents, discouraging criminal activity, and fostering a sense of security among locals all depend on adequate and appropriate lighting, particularly in regions that have not had consistent lighting in the past. Having realised that a sustainable and economical solution was required, the council uses Crompton to install a sophisticated lighting system. 5 kilometres of road received high-performance solar street lights installed thanks to Crompton’s solar lighting technology expertise. Through better lighting, this project makes the cityscape more visually appealing additionally improved visibility, making the community safer and livelier.

In order to accomplish the unique lighting needs of the Birmitrapur Municipality, Crompton built an integrated solar street light system with a lumen output of 9,000. This solution greatly increased traffic safety and enhanced the general standard of living for the locals.
