Gamesa to commission 5.95 MW wind farm for PSU in AP [Apr 2012]

Gamesa Wind Turbines, the Indian subsidiary of Gamesa-world leader in the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of wind turbines, bagged an order from the New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NREDCAP) for supplying 5.95 MW in the state.
The project is being executed at the Rekalakunta site in AP’s Anathpur District and is expected to be commissioned by March 31, 2012. NREDCAP becomes the third PSU to have placed orders with Gamesa following the orders from GAIL and Oil India.
Commenting on the development, the Chairman and Managing Director of Gamesa India, Ramesh Kymal expressed that the new order from NREDCAP will facilitate the company’s growth in terms of size and in furthering the double-digit market share. With this, Gamesa’s combined installation in Andhra Pradesh will mark 11.05 MW.
