HCC appoints Rajgopal Nogja as Group COO and Whole-time Director on HCC Board

Infrastructure major Hindustan Construction Company Limited (HCC) today announced the appointment of Rajgopal Nogja as Whole-time Director of the company designated as Group Chief Operating Officer and Whole-time Director with effect from May 03, 2013.
 
He will oversee the functioning of Group companies HCC Ltd., Lavasa Corporation Ltd, Steiner AG, HCC Real Estate Ltd, Highbar Technologies Ltd, Charosa Wineries Ltd. and HCC Aviation Ltd.
 
Prior to this appointment, Mr. Nogja held the post of Group President − Development Companies since 2011.
 
At HCC, Mr. Rajgopal Nogja started his career in the year 2000 with assisting the Chairman and Managing Director of HCC Ltd for strategic decision and initiatives for new businesses, financial viability of projects and operations of HCC Group.
 
In 2007, he was appointed as President – Lavasa Corporation Ltd wherein he spearheaded and transformed the Lavasa vision into a reality and played a pioneering role in establishing the planned hill city as a successful business model. In 2008 he was concurrently appointed President – HCC Real Estate Ltd and was responsible for the development of 247 Park, India’s largest standalone Leed certified Gold rated Green building at the time. He is credited with completing the project in record time and successfully completing its stake sale, with a valuation of Rs 775 crore.
 
During the course of his career, he has been instrumental in successfully managing residential, commercial and industrial developments, project implementation and management, property management, relocation negotiation, project finance negotiation and feasibility studies.
 
Mr. Nogja holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Pune University and a Masters degree in Construction Management from NICMAR.
