HCC-Samsung JV awarded Rs.866 cr contract by DMRC
Hindustan Construction Company in joint venture with Samsung C&T has been awarded a contract worth Rs. 866 crore by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for design and construction of 4.4-km long tunnel on Janakpuri West–Kalindi Kunj Corridor under Phase III of the metro development.
This is the 5th contract being awarded to HCC by DMRC. HCC and Samsung are 50:50 partners in the JV. The project will be completed in 39 months.
The tunnel will be constructed using shield tunnel boring machine. The contract also include construction of 3 underground metro stations and related architectural works at Janakpuri West, Dabri Mor and Dashrath Puri and interchange facilities between existing elevated metro station and proposed underground metro station using cut and cover method. The scope of work also include design and construction of associated structures such as ancillary buildings, utilities galleries, AC plant room, ASS rooms, TVF rooms, shafts, pump houses, water tanks, and diesel generator set room.
