HCC to build Thermal Power Project in Bihar
Leading Infrastructure Construction and Development Company HCC (Hindustan Construction Company Ltd), has been awarded a contract by Kanti Bijlee Utpadan Nigam Limited, a JV company of NTPC & BSEB, to construct 2 X 195 MW Muzaffarpur Thermal Power Project, Stage II in Bihar at Rs. 232.07 crore.
The scope of work involves Earthwork, RCC, Structural Steel Fabrication & Erection for Power House, Main Plant, CW and other Offsite works with Chimney & Chimney Elevator works. HCC has been associated with 18 thermal power projects (Diesel and Coal based) and 3 gas based power projects. The company’s experience in thermal power plants cover a range of civil works including; earth work, piling, water intake and pump house, heavy foundations, main structures, steelworks and coal handling systems. Some of the major thermal power projects constructed by HCC include Trombay Thermal Generating Station, Mumbai (500 MW), Rihand Super Thermal Power Project, UP (2X500 MW) and Titagarh Thermal Power Station, West Bengal (240 MW).
