IADF 2011 meets with grand successFor the first time in history the prestigious Indian Architectural and Design festival (IADF) 2011 was being held in India, in the financial capital: Mumbai. IADF 2011 covered a broad spectrum of issues related to Architecture. IADF proved be one focal point for Architects and Design Stalwarts to converge under one platform to Share and Explore new ideas. It is the only platform in India where Architects Meet Architecture and perhaps the only platform of its kind in India where one kind talk about Architecture.
The two day conference held in Mumbai saw the attendance of more than 800 architects, designers and project consultants attended both the conference and architects exhibition including eminent architects like Karan Grover, Sharukh Mistry, Abhin Alimchandani, JP Agarwal, Dikshu Kukreja, Arunjot Singh Bhalla, Oscar Concessao, Nuru Karim, Shirish Beri, Rajeev Mishra, Principal of Sir J.J. School of Architecture, Bimal Patel, Krishna Rao Jaisim, Sandeep Shikre, Vivek Bhole, Anupam De and many more.
The 2011 Indian Architectural & Design Festival thematic exhibition was an added attraction and based on the theme of ‘Transformations’. The theme related to the way in which the built environment can be transformed by a combination of Client Commitment, Architectural imagination, Technological Development and Professional teamwork. 31 eminent architects participated at the Flagship Architects Exhibition under the theme. IADF 2011 National Conference provided with all the information, insight and details to capitalise on the newest trends in this increasingly institutionalised sector. Over 60 Architectural Practices displayed at India’s First Architects Exhibition.
