JCB partners with Kohler for engines
Kohler Engines and Italy-based Lombardini – a Kohler company, has begun manufacturing its KDI engines for British construction equipment company JCB.
The 1.9-liter and 2.5-liter engines, which meet Tier 4 Final and Stage IIIB emissions standards, are turbo-charged with four values per cylinder, and use a high pressure common-rail direct injection system, cooled exhaust gas recirculation and diesel oxygenated catalyst to provide optimum performance and fuel efficiency.
JCB unveiled its telescopic forklift (JCB 35D 4×4 Teletruk) with the KDI engine recently.
“The JCB agreement is one of numerous partnerships underway to incorporate Kohler’s newest heavy-duty diesel engines into a variety of applications in the construction, commercial, industrial, agricultural, and material-handling markets,” a company statement said.
