Reliance Power synchronised first unit of Sasan
Reliance Power has announced the successful synchronisation of the first 660 MW unit of its 3,960 MW Sasan Ultra Mega Power Project (UMPP) with the grid on 9th March.
The Sasan UMPP is the largest integrated power plant and coal mining project in India has an estimated investment of over Rs.23,000 crore.
The electricity generated from the project would be sold to 14 distribution companies across seven States, the company statement said.
Coal production has already commenced from the Moher and Moher-Amlohri coal mines. Chhatrasal coal block has also received forest clearance and is under development.
