South Western Railway plans to construct railway line in Karnataka

Railways: South Western Railway and Bengaluru Kunigal-Hassan rail network project comprises construction of 167-km broadgauge railway line. The project is under implementation since 1996-97 and got completed in Feb 2016. The line is likely to be commissioned soon. On completion the rail commuters can save at least two hours of journey between both the cities at Bengaluru in Karnataka.
