Building Construction Technology Expo 2024

Building Construction Technology Expo 2024 (BCT Expo 2024), Thailand’s largest annual international show for the construction sector, will return from September 18 to 20, 2024, at the IMPACT demonstrate and Convention Centre in Bangkok, Thailand.

BCT Expo 2024 will once again bring together the whole Thai and Southeast Asian construction industry community to seek business opportunities, network, and exchange information. This year’s event will be held under the subject “The Construction Industry Meeting Place” and will occupy over 5,000 square metres of exhibition space.

Over 150 international and local exhibitors will showcase their latest solutions and technology across 10 construction clusters, including earthmoving and demolition, lifting and handling, road construction, concrete and cement, materials, tools, and equipment, digital construction, AI and robotics, construction services, and smart facility management. Over 4,000 industry and trade experts will attend this crucial three-day event.

Thailand’s construction market is estimated to be worth 1.37 billion THB, or 7.6 percent of the country’s GDP, in 2023. Public infrastructure projects are expected to drive market growth of 3 percent to 4 percent per year. Thailand now has 108,000 registered construction enterprises, with 709 having the resources to conduct large-scale projects.

The industry is also facing headwinds and challenges, such as rising costs, labour shortages, tight deadlines, hazardous working conditions, strict health and safety protocols, and the need to accelerate the adoption of technology to improve productivity while meeting net zero emission targets.

Against this backdrop, BCT Expo 2024 is being organised to serve as a bridge for the Thai and regional Southeast Asian construction industries to seek international collaborations and networking, bringing together the marketplace, ideas, solutions, innovations, and partnerships for its architecture, construction, and engineering sectors.

BCT Expo 2024 will feature several well-attended conferences and seminars hosted by a variety of foreign and local business partners, including Asia Pacific Assistive Robotics Thailand, the Drone Association of Thailand, Technology Media, and PCS Security and Facility Services Limited, to mention a few.

This year’s conference will cover a wide range of construction-related issues, including robotics and artificial intelligence, smart construction equipment and technology, design, iron and steel trends, drones in construction, BIM trends, and smart facility management.

As in previous editions, one of the event’s main attractions will be its business-matching programme, which will include well over 300 pre-arranged business meetings between major hosted buyers and BCT Expo exhibitors. The goal is to pre-schedule meetings between exhibitors and the appropriate purchasers during the event, and this programme has undoubtedly helped many BCT Expo exhibitors.

BCT Expo 2024 will be held in the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Centre in Bangkok, Thailand, from September 18th to 20th, 2024.
