Sunil Mantri completes tenure as MCHI President

Sunil Mantri who heads Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry (MCHI), ends his one year tenure as President of the body. The shift is effective from end of May 2011.  Mr. Mantri, Chairman of Sunil Mantri Realty had carried forward the presidency from Pravin Doshi, his predecessor in May 2010.

Sunil Mantri’s outlined vision for MCHI for the year 2010-2011 was substantial expansion of the Chamber’s activities, programmes and initiatives through more realty exhibitions in Maharashtra. Mr. Mantri has fulfilled this vision through appropriate steps towards the same, a statement said.

In past 40 NOCs required 2 to 3 years for clearance which thereby affected the cost of land value and ultimately delayed leads to high cost of the projects. Mr Mantri approached the CM, Maharashtra for speedy approvals and reforms for property development and redevelopment.  He has also suggested solutions for government authorities for single window clearance through use of technology for granting approvals and sanctions. Other proactive steps suggested to government bodies include 15 per cent – 25 per cent EWS reservation to be deleted and coordination of Policy maker / all CM’s across India. He also took steps to help Maharashtra Government to execute conveyance of single buildings and completed layouts.

At this moment Sunil Mantri, the former president of MCHI said, “It has been an honour to head a prestigious body that is so active in the reforming process of realty sector in Maharashtra.”
