Tekla conducts multi-city road show [Apr 2012]

To create awareness amongst construction engineers about latest technologies in concrete construction practices, BIM provider Tekla, organised multi-city ‘Concrete Seminar Series’ road show in Delhi, Chennai and Hyderabad and showcased the benefits of latest 3D BIM technology in the concrete construction projects in India.
At the road show, Tekla India team along with international specialists shared their experience on usage of 3D BIM Technology in construction projects. The road shows were aimed at providing an opportunity for consumers to learn the latest in 3D BIM technology in construction projects and understand the benefits and unique opportunities a concrete contractor, formwork contractor, rebar fabricator or detailer can get from using Tekla Structures flagship BIM tool.
Speaking on the occasion, Nirmalya Chatterjee, Chief Operating Officer, Tekla said, “The methods and processes of concrete construction have now taken up a more advanced and automated form. They have become more swift and easier with introduction of IT technology equipped solutions. For a construction company to live up in this constantly rising pace of construction industry, it is very necessary that it adopts advanced technologies like Tekla Solutions available for the industry.”
During the seminar, users were informed through several presentations and case studies from United States and Finland about latest benefits and achievements of Building Information Modeling for concrete construction management with a focus on usage of BIM 3D Model for concrete & rebar engineering and Tekla Structures for cast-in-place or reinforced concrete structures.
