Sunlumo opens office in India [July 2012]

International solar company Sunlumo Technology GmbH opened its new office in India. With the Mumbai office, Sunlumo has established its presence in India, in addition to Austria and China. “Approximately 300 days of sunshine per year make India an ideal location for using solar energy”, said Sunlumo CEO Robert Buchinger. Local providers tend to rely on the know-how of European countries.
“Partners in India appreciate our wide-ranging research and development know-how,” comments  Robert Buchinger. The company is especially interested in the One World Solar Collector. “The special feature about this innovative product for the volume market is that it consists of 100 per cent plastic. It is thus possible to reduce the production cost of the solar collector by up to 50 per cent as compared to conventional collectors,” he said.
The Indian agency is managed by solar expert Sohrab Pavri and is trained as a Solarteur application manager at the Centre for Solar Energy in Stuttgart.
