Panasonic launches advanced AI cameras at IFSEC 2024
Panasonic Life Solutions India introduces new AI-powered surveillance cameras at IFSEC India 2024, revolutionising security through sophisticated analytics and improved performance.
Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLSIND)’s System Solutions Division (SSD) announced the launch of two new revolutionary surveillance solutions at IFSEC India 2024, South Asia’s largest security expo and conference, that took place in New Delhi. The new solutions include the AI-enabled High Zoom Bullet Camera and the X-series Camera with AI-based on-site learning analytics, intended to bring unrivalled security and surveillance capabilities to the Indian market. Aside from that, the firm demonstrated its full security and surveillance portfolio at the event, including the recently announced anti-ligature corner camera and Video Door Phone range, showing the company’s broad variety of solutions.
Expressing on the launch, Vijay Wadhawan, Director, System Solutions Division, Panasonic Life Solutions India, says, “With increasing urbanisation and infrastructure development, the Indian market is on the cusp of a surveillance revolution. The integration of innovative technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), is providing boundless opportunities to the sector, with enhanced capabilities like facial recognition and real-time analytics. At Panasonic, we are proud to be at the forefront of this transformation with our advanced solutions that cater to the evolving needs of our customers. The latest AI-powered i-PRO camera solutions, unveiled at IFSEC India 2024, have been meticulously designed to address the unique security challenges faced by Indian customers, empowering them to create safer, more secure environments.”
“With a strong presence in India and serving over 500 leading enterprises, we understand the unique security challenges faced by different industries. Our intelligent security solutions encompass CCTV camera surveillance, perimeter security, and access control solutions that streamline operations and increase efficiency. This integrated approach optimises cost efficiency and brings down the total cost of ownership for businesses,” Wadhawan further adds.
The AI-enabled High Zoom Bullet Camera is available in 2MP, 5MP, and 4K resolutions and offers 10x and 30x zoom choices. It also has long-range IR LED capabilities of up to 250 m/820 ft for excellent performance in low-light circumstances. These cameras include AI-driven object detection using the Ambarella CV52 SoC, which improves object detection. The i-PRO Active Guard intelligent search program is integrated with numerous metadata that describe the distinct characteristics of individuals and vehicles, and it is effortlessly delivered to popular Video Management Systems (VMS). In addition, four LPR-optimised models catch objects at high speeds (up to 130 km/h) during day and night. The cameras also have gyro-based stabilisation for better image long-range zoom capabilities, which reduces vibration and ensures sharp photos even in demanding settings. The solution is perfect for traffic and perimeter monitoring, with night vision capability.
The new i-PRO X Series Camera portfolio uses AI on-site learning, which allows users or integrators to train the camera to watch certain items. Enhanced edge processing power allows for more customisation by teaching the camera to recognise distinct things of interest. It can also transform non-AI network cameras into AI-powered smart devices. The X Series, available in 2MP, 5MP, 6MP, and 4K variants, provides remarkable image performance with a Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) of up to 144dB and IR illumination of up to 70 meters, ensuring clarity in all settings. This monitoring solution is perfect for factories, hospitals, and retail stores.
