ACC cement sales up by 7.3 per cent [02 Apr 2012]

Cement manufacturer ACC Ltd announced that it sold 2.34 million tonnes cement in March this year, up by 7.3 per cent over the same month of last year. In March 2011, the company had sold 2.18 million tonnes cement in. ACC produced 2.3 million tonnes cement during the month against 2.19 million tonnes a year ago. In the January-March period of 2012, ACC sold 6.72 million tonnes of cement compared to 6.22 million tonnes in the corresponding period last year. The company produced 6.70 million tonnes of cement during January-March period of 2012 against 6.22 million tonnes in the year-ago period.
