BIG 5 Construct India 2015 begins

The Big 5 Construct India 2015, international building and construction exhibition and conference, is commenced on Thursday at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. The event will conclude on 12th September.
Jointly organised by FICCI and dmg events, the event is showcasing more than 250 global technologies, trends and solutions as well as 24 CPD certified technical workshops, sessions and seminar. Exhibitors from steel, PEB, plumbing, cement and concrete, construction chemicals, paints and allied services, bathrooms and kitchens, HVAC, electrical systems, facades, windows and doors are displaying their innovative products .
Today the construction industry is one of the most flourishing industries in India with the demand for residential, commercial & hospitality industry increasing constantly. And it is also one of the most critical economic drivers of the country contributing majorly to the nation’s GDP.
“The burgeoning urban populations, fast-growing cities and demographic shifts are creating varied demands amongst the end consumers in India and this surely has helped in reinforcing a need amongst the developer-architect groups, in bringing forth landmark structures of the future. The status of the real estate or infrastructure projects is worsened by the absence of an appropriate procurement planning. The challenge lies in getting the right material at the right time within the budgeted cost,” said Arbind Prasad, Director General of FICCI.
“This unique platform (The BIG 5 Construct India) offers opportunities to not just accelerate your business potential but also creates long lasting relationships amongst the key decision makers like developers, architects, interior designers, builders, PMCs, brand owners and solution providers through an interactive conference agenda, face-to-face meetings and 5-star networking activities, all under one roof. This critical mix of activities ascertains the ideal podium to do business,” said Simon Mellor, President – Middle East and Asia, dmg events.
“Real estate sector triggers demand for more than 250 materials that are manufactured by the members of FCCI, they include everything from cement and tiles to taps, electric switches and wires. The Big 5 Construct India is a great initiative by FCCI towards sensitizing the government about the strength of these industries coupled with the real estate sector. CREDAI is confident that this event will deliver huge impact in the years to come,” said Getamber Anand, President, CREDAI National.
