MuseLAB’s The Nest in Ahmedabad elevates interior design to an immersive experience that reflects unique identity while embracing warmth and creativity.

Designing a room is more than just arranging furniture and choosing colour schemes; it is about creating an immersive experience that speaks to the very spirit of individuals who live there. The Nest, hidden within the lively cityscape of Ahmedabad, serves as a testament to this ideal. This 6500-square-foot, three-story space is more than simply a house; it’s a sanctuary of warmth and joy, designed to reflect the distinct character of Ekta, Dhruv, Rianna, and Zoya, a personality that will capture and intrigue you.

The spirit of whimsy and fun surrounds visitors from the moment they enter the residence. The entrance foyer, embellished with bespoke paintings by the brilliant Ujjval Noya, provides a charming introduction to the home’s diverse style. Peppy patterns in Kota carpeting led visitors to a trio of Driade Roly Poly chairs, their curvy forms enticing them to linger and relax. A custom totem by Harshita Jhamtani stands vigil in one corner, while a bone-inlay chest of drawers whispers tales of faraway locations. Even the entrance door, with its contemporary themes and dark walnut finish, appears to welcome visitors into a realm of wonder and imagination, inspiring and uplifting all who enter.

As one ascends the staircase, they are treated to a visual symphony of textures and shapes. The meticulously build wooden handrail provides a reassuring anchor amidst the swirling maelstrom of design. Fabricated balustrades contain hidden light sources, casting a soothing illumination on each step and directing visitors to the upper portion of the house. And who could miss the joyful surprise of the Tetris-inspired Kota skirting, which delightfully adorns the staircase’s edges and invites curious glances from below.

The Galleria, with its walls painted a relaxing shade of Pacific blue, is a respite from the hurry and bustle of everyday life. Prityanshi’s pièce de résistance, a lenticular art piece representing undulating landscapes and sun-kissed beaches, takes the stage. Cocoon Rugs’ patterned runner offers a pop of colour to the floor, and its delicate weave reflects the family’s love of texture and pattern. But maybe the true heart of The Nest is just beyond the galleria: a glittering pool and poolside deck, accessible via a set of magnificent French doors. Rianna’s charming Koi Pond painting inspires her to use the pool floor as a canvas for her creativity, with each brush stroke symbolising family and love. As sunlight dances across the water’s surface, producing beautiful reflections on the walls, one can’t help but feel a sense of calm and serenity rush over them.

Moving farther into the house reveals a living space that is both comfortable and stylish. The living room, dining area, and dry kitchen all flow together to create a welcoming and functional space. Form and function work in perfect unison here; from the form-finished concrete ceiling to the polished Kota flooring, each element is meticulously curated to generate a sense of understated elegance. And, of course, no family gathering would be complete without a feast fit for royalty, served on The Klein Bottle’s massive dining table, with beautiful inlay features that pay homage to the workmanship that distinguishes every area of The Nest.

As the day comes to an end, the first level beckons with promises of rest. The master bedroom, with its faceted geometry and pine wood-clad ceiling, provides a respite from the demands of daily living. Soft linens and luxurious furnishings entice tired hearts to sweet slumber, while the soothing hum of the city outside soothes them into tranquil dreams. Meanwhile, the daughters’ bedroom alters to reflect the girls’ maturation and shifting tastes. A watercolour wallpaper resembling pages torn from an art book serves as the backdrop for numerous escapades and late-night conversations. And in the lounge, with its leather-finished kadappa carpeting and minty green decorations, one can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia rush over them.

Finally, The Nest is more than simply a house; it’s a place full of love and laughter, where memories are built and dreams are realised. It demonstrates the ability of design to elicit emotion, stimulate creativity, and bring people together in the most amazing ways. Welcome to The Nest, where each detail tells a story and every corner is brimming with affection.
