Egis three major airport projects in India

Egis, a global leader in consulting, construction engineering, and transportation, has announced the successful completion of three large airport infrastructure projects in India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new integrated passenger terminal buildings at Trichy, Pune, and Lucknow airports, which will significantly improve capacity, energy efficiency, and passenger experience.

Lucknow and Pune International Airports
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated two new passenger terminal buildings at the airports in Pune and Lucknow on March 10, 2024, with the presence of other distinguished guests. At the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow, Egis’ project management consulting services guaranteed smooth execution, leading to a terminal outfitted with 76 check-in counters and seven passenger boarding bridges.

The new terminal at Pune’s Lohegaon International Airport has 72 check-in booths and 10 passenger boarding bridges. The establishment of terminal buildings with state-of-the-art amenities and eye-catching aesthetics was made possible by Egis’ extensive design and project management consulting services. Exquisite artwork showcasing the rich cultural legacies of both cities may be found throughout the airports. Honourable Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Ajit Pawar, was among the eminent visitors present as Prime Minister Modi unveiled the new terminal buildings.

Tiruchirappalli International airport
These inaugurations come after the successful delivery of Tiruchirappalli International Airport (Trichy) in January of this year. Egis served as the Design and Project Management Consultant (PMC) for the airports and their accompanying infrastructure. Spanning an amazing 75,000 sqm, the new integrated passenger terminal building features a stunning Green certification for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA) 4-star sustainability certification and state-of-the-art facilities, designed to cater to 4.5 million people annually.

“This achievement signifies our commitment to excellence and innovation in the aviation infrastructure sector. Egis expresses gratitude to all stakeholders and contributors for their invaluable support in achieving these milestones. Special thanks to the project site team and contributors inside and outside Egis,” says Sandeep Gulati, Managing Director of Egis South Asia
