GMR to provide consultancy services to Oman Airport Management

GMR Airport Developers Limited (GAOL), a subsidiary of GMR Infrastructure Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Oman Airport Management Company (OAMC) for providing training and consultancy services.

According to the MoU, the GMR subsidiary will provide services ranging from program management, testing and commissioning of airport systems to development of aeronautical and non-aeronautical revenue streams.

In line with the MoU, GMR subsidiary will provide on-site support for six months at Salalah Airport, which will help OAMC team to learn and adapt some of the best practices of Delhi and Hyderabad airports. OAMC team may also undergo trainings at GMR Aviation Academy – an academy having RTCE certification.

Speaking on this occasion Srinivas Bommidala, Business Chairman Airports, GMR Group said, “In line with our stated Asset light Asset right strategy, GMR has been engaging with and offering consultancy services to airport companies in the Middle East and South East Asia. We are honoured that Oman Airport Management Company has signed a comprehensive MoU with GAOL, aimed at knowledge sharing and skills development for the OAMC staff.”
