GPT Infraprojects Bags orders worth Rs 125.30 Cr [Apr 2012]

GPT Infraprojects, the flagship company of the GPT Group, has bagged orders worth Rs 125.30 crore. The company has secured order for construction of 4-lane cable stayed road over bridge over Barddhaman Yard in lieu of existing 2-lane ROB Bridge No. 213 of Eastern Railway in West Bengal. The Rs 110.88 crore order is awarded by Rail Vikas Nimgam and the completion period is 24 months. The order has been received in the name of GPT-Ranhill (JV).
With the completion of the above order GPT will become one of the few EPC companies having experience for construction of cable stayed bridges, similar to the Bandra-Worli Sealink in Mumbai.
The company has secured another order worth Rs 14.42 crore from Eastern Railway for construction of superstructure of New Br. No. 172 (2x9x30.5m through welded steel girder) and other ancillary works in connection with construction of Br. No. 172 at Km. 110.704 from Khana on Up & Down lines between Swadinpur and Nalhati in Rampurhat – Barharwa section of Howrah division of Eastern Railway. Completion period of this project is 15 months.
