ICEMA announces new office bearers [June 2013]

The Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association (ICEMA), an affiliated body of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), announced election of new office bearers at the annual general meeting. Amit Gossain, Executive Vice President – Marketing, Business Development and Corporate Affairs at JCB India, takes over as the President of ICEMA.
Anand Sundaresan, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director at Schwing Stetter India has been elected as the Vice President of the association.
Mr Gossain was earlier the Vice President of the association. He succeeds Glenville da Silva, Vice President of Business Development Asia, at Volvo Construction Equipment as President of ICEMA. Speaking on the occasion, he said, “ICEMA plays a key role in looking after the genuine interest of the construction equipment and allied industries to ensure positive growth of the Indian infrastructure sector. I feel privileged and look forward to lead ICEMA as it continues to work closely with the government, policy makers and other stakeholders to have a favourable environment for the construction equipment industry to grow in India.”
Mr Sundaresan has over three decades of experience in various Indian and multinational companies.
ICEMA is the only representative body for the construction equipment industry in India. It represents 50 leading companies who manufacture, trade and finance a variety of products such as hydraulic excavators, wheel loaders, backhoe loaders, motor graders, vibratory compactors, cranes, dumpers, tippers, forklifts trucks, dozers, pavers, batching plants, diesel engines, etc.
