Malpani Pipes & Fittings plans to increase sustainability by installing a 1136 kWp rooftop solar system at its Ratlam facility.

Malpani Pipes & Fittings Ltd. plans to install a 1,136.34 kWp rooftop solar power plant at its Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, manufacturing facility. This green energy initiative, which spans the company’s 150,000 sq. ft. premises—of which 80,000 sq. ft. is constructed—highlights the company’s transition to sustainable operations.

The project is scheduled to begin in May and end in August 2025, with benefits beginning in the latter half of fiscal year 2025-26. The plant is expected to generate approximately 1.25 million units of electricity annually, resulting in cost savings of ₹87.5 lakh per year. With a projected payback period of only four years, the investment is consistent with long-term operational efficiency objectives.

Rohit Malpani, Managing Director, says, “With increasing electricity costs, this solar plant will significantly improve our cash flow and overall profitability. It’s a strategic move toward sustainable and cost-effective manufacturing.”

Mounted on the factory shed, the rooftop system will reduce the company’s carbon footprint while increasing energy independence. This step reaffirms Malpani Pipes & Fittings’ commitment to incorporating clean energy solutions into its core operations.
