Putzmeister India appoints Magesh Swaminathan as Director of sales

Magesh succeeds Parminder Gabri in advancing concrete equipment solutions at Putzmeister India, bringing 28 years of diverse industry experience to the table.

Over the course of his 28-year career, Magesh has led a number of initiatives in the areas of marketing, after-market, and sales in a variety of industries, including mining, material handling, capital and industrial equipment, and heavy construction equipment.

Prior to joining Putzmeister India, he had positions with Volvo, Hydraform, Ingersoll-Rand, Doosan, and Ashok Leyland John Deere Construction Equipment. Magesh oversaw strategy, key accounts, and sales at Gmmco Ltd., a company that makes Caterpillar equipment, in his most recent position.

Magesh says, “I have worked with many teams over my career,” in reference to his appointment. The Putzmeister team’s enthusiasm is contagious. I’m excited to collaborate closely with them to provide best-in-class solutions that add value to our customers’ businesses.

Magesh was welcomed to the world of concrete equipment by Mr. Kanjanabha Bhattacharyya, Managing Director of Putzmeister Concrete Machines, who also wishes him well in his new position. “Magesh’s extensive background in a variety of positions and sectors will facilitate our expansion throughout the Indian subcontinent.”  

Mr. Parminder Gabri, who chosen to seek other chances in May 2024, hands off to Magesh. “Parminder has played a key role in establishing Putzmeister as the partner of choice when it comes to concrete equipment,” says Mr. Kanjanabha Bhattacharyya, thanking him for his invaluable contribution to the company since its inception in India.
