RAMCO cement’s flood relief measure in Thoothukudi

RAMCO Cement has stepped in to provide relief to the affected people.

The district of Thoothukudi in South Tamil Nadu has been hardest hit by the current flood because of the unusually heavy rains. RAMCO CEMENTS has responded to the situation by taking proactive steps to provide help to the impacted populace. Two distinct neighbourhoods in Thoothukudi, Brian Nagar and Shanmugapuram, received 2000 food packs from the corporation. In the wake of the flooding, this was an attempt to provide for the urgent needs of the impacted residents.

More than 500 people in Pudur Taluk and the surrounding panchayats who have suffered because of floods have been helped by Cement, which has donated relief supplies valued at ₹ 5 lakh. G.V. Markandeyan, the Vilathikulam MLA, received an official receipt of the relief supplies. The MLA conveyed his appreciation to Ramco Cements for providing aid and solace to the citizens of his constituency in response to this kind act.
