Regency Ceramics acquires Segno Ceramics to increase manufacturing capacity

Through the takeover of Segno Ceramics in Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh, Regency Ceramics aims to strengthen its market position and promote regional economic growth.

Regency Ceramics, a market leader in ceramic manufacturing, and listed on the BSE and NSE, announces a planned acquisition of Segno Ceramics Private Limited, based in Baptala, Andhra Pradesh. Through this noteworthy deal effective August 22, 2024, Regency Ceramics will be able to have total control over the manufacturing plant of Segno. The takeover will promote economic growth and open up job possibilities in the state, in line with Chief Minister Shri Chandrababu Naidu’s goal. Regency Ceramics is determined to have a big influence and hopes to help the state’s manufacturing sector grow again.

Regency Ceramics has agreed on a deal without incurring significant capital expenditures, guaranteeing a minimal effect on cash flows. The company’s position in the market will be strengthened by the all-cash transaction, especially in South and East India. The 50-acre plant, with a manufacturing capacity of 3.6 million square meters (MSM) annually, will enable Regency Ceramics to produce a wide range of high-quality goods, such as polished and polished vitrified tiles.

Satyendra Prasad Narala, Managing Director of Regency Ceramics, expresses his enthusiasm about the acquisition. He states, “This strategic move addresses our immediate production needs and enhances our market presence. With our strong legacy and goodwill in states like Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, and Orissa, we are focused on achieving a revenue target of ₹ 100 crores in the next calendar year.”

With the new facility’s sophisticated technology and strong manufacturing capabilities, and Regency’s scientific and engineering know-how, the business is all set to take advantage of the growing ceramics industry. Because of its strategic location in Bapatla and easy access to the ports of Chennai and Krishnapatnam, the facility is expected to offer a high degree of connectivity for exports.

As a result of the Andhra Pradesh government’s renewed emphasis on infrastructure development, Regency Ceramics is well-positioned to support economic growth and play a major role in the state’s industrial renaissance.
