SBI Macquarie invests Rs. 110 cr in Ashoka Buildcon
SBI Macquarie, private equity style infrastructure investment fund, has invested Rs.110 crore in Ashoka Buildcon’s road construction subsidiary Ashoka Concessions (ACL).
The fund will be utilised for equity investment into various under construction projects.
Including this tranche, the total equity investment by SBI-Macquarie in ACL is Rs.490 crore and balance would be received as per equity requirements of projects under construction.
Ashoka Concessions has a portfolio of seven toll roads including six national highway projects. Ashoka is one of the leading BOT based Infrastructure players in the country with presence across India.
The company is also involved in power transmission and distribution sector. Recently it has bagged projects worth approx. Rs. 500 crore for MSEDCL and around Rs. 600 crore for Tamil Nadu.
The company’s order book presently stands at Rs.4,100 crore.
