Shapoorji Pallonji, USE to invest in West Bengal [02 August 2012]
Mumbai-based Shapoorji Pallonji Group, one of the largest stakeholders in Tata Sons, to increase investment for infrastructural development in West Bengal. The Group has recently signed an agreement with Singapore-based Universal Success Enterprises (USE) to take up the Bengal’s ambitious infrastructure plan.
The Shapoorji Pallonji Group has already invested about Rs. 1,000 crore in the State. After a meeting with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata on Wednesday, The USE and Shapoorji Pallonji partnership expressed interest in investing for major infrastructure projects that include deep sea ports, mini hydro power plants, roads and IT hubs etc. Shapoor Mistry, CMD of Shapoorji Pallonji was accompanied by Prasoon Mukherjee, USE Chairman for the meeting.
