SunSource Energy expands its presence in Uttar Pradesh

SHV Energy’s a subsidiary, SunSource Energy, increases its solar presence with three fresh initiatives in Uttar Pradesh.

The 125-year-old Dutch multinational SHV Energy, through its subsidiary SunSource Energy, a leading supplier of solar energy solutions announces the commissioning of three open access solar power facilities in Uttar Pradesh (UP). These 45 MWp projects, which are spread across 150 acres in the districts of Jhansi and Lalitpur, demonstrate SunSource Energy’s ongoing commitment to growing its presence in the state. PPAs have been secured with prestigious clients in several business verticals for the full 45 MWDC.

Over the course of their technological lives, these three projects are anticipated to produce 1.5 million megawatt-hours (MWh) of solar energy and offset up to 1.4 million tonnes of CO2 emissions. The projects will serve a wide range of notable clients’ renewable energy needs, including one of the biggest media conglomerates in India, a preeminent data centre, an educational institution, and preeminent international beverage businesses.

As a result, the company currently has six open access projects in the state that are operating, and four more are in the works. In Uttar Pradesh, SunSource Energy currently has a total operating capacity of around 100 MWDC. In the state’s Bijnor area, SunSource Energy declared last year that three solar projects had been put into service.
