The Union Cabinet approves a ₹3,064.45 crore project to construct a 4.56 km six-lane bridge over the Ganga between Digha and Sonepur in Bihar. Parallel to the existing rail-road bridge, it will improve communication between Patna and Saran while also reducing traffic congestion in north Bihar.
