Tenth Lokshahi Din reinforces MHADA’s citizen-centric governance

Sanjeev Jaiswal, IAS, will preside over MHADA’s 10th Lokshahi Din on April 15 to ensure that citizens’ grievances are addressed promptly.
The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) will hold its 10th Lokshahi Din on Tuesday, April 15th, 2025, at 12 noon, in the 4th-floor meeting hall of the MHADA’s headquarters in Bandra (East). Sanjeev Jaiswal, IAS, MHADA’s Vice President and Chief Executive Officer, will lead the session.
Since January 2024, the MHADA administration has held Lokshahi Din on the second Monday of each month at the Bandra (East) headquarters. Jaiswal has led nine successful Lokshahi Din sessions to date.
These sessions feature open and direct discussions about citizens’ complaints in the presence of concerned officials. As a result, many long-pending cases have been resolved immediately, providing citizens with transparent, simple, and timely justice.
This initiative has increased transparency, accountability, and responsiveness in the MHADA administration. Citizens are confident that Lokshahi Din serves as a strong link between the public and the administration.
The MHADA administration invites all citizens to present their complaints or enquiries during Lokshahi Din. However, please be aware that the following types of applications will not be accepted during Lokshahi Din.
- Cases that are already under judicial consideration
- Matters related to revenue/appeals
- Service- and establishment-related issues
- Applications not in the prescribed format or without required supporting documents
- Matters for which a final reply has already been issued or is in process
- Repeated applications on the same subject
- Applications or grievances of a personal nature
Within eight days, applications that do not qualify for Lokshahi Din will be sent to the relevant department for further action. The applicant must be given a copy of the document, complete with page numbers.
