VOX India innovates with revolutionary facade system, eliminating subassembly dependency
“Our innovative products are designed to transform interior and exterior spaces while making a positive impact on the environment.”
Varun Poddar, Founder of VOX India, sheds light on VOX India, a 30-year-old Polish company, and their game-changing interior and exterior solutions as they make their mark in the Indian market.
Can you shed some light on the solutions that you have displayed here?
Our main product is the ceiling product, which you can see here. These may appear to be wood, but they are a fraction of the cost. If you look at real wood today, installing and maintaining it costs over 1000 rupees per square foot. Additionally, wood requires regular maintenance, like painting and varnishing, making it unaffordable for many people. Our products, on the other hand, are not only more cost-effective but also require no maintenance for the next ten years. They are resistant to water, moisture, fungus, and more, ensuring longevity and cost savings for our customers.
How energy-efficient and sustainable are the products you’re offering?
Our products are not only cost-effective but also environmentally friendly. We use a combination of virgin polymers and recycled materials, incorporating a significant amount of recycled materials into our goods. These products serve as an eco-friendly alternative to wood, with a lifespan of at least 30 years, and we’ve engineered them to last up to 40 years. This longevity not only helps the environment by reducing the need for frequent replacements but also reduces the demand for timber, contributing to forest preservation.
What cutting-edge technologies set you apart from your industry competitors?
Many people focus on the exterior appearance of our products, but it’s essential to understand the innovation within. We employ a three-layer extrusion technology where each layer serves a specific purpose. The topmost layer is responsible for UV resistance, wood texture, and structure to limit contamination of the panel, thereby guaranteeing an excellent appearance of the façade for many years; the middle layer provides panels with increased resistance to mechanical damage; and the bottom layer guarantees shape stability and helps when carrying out installation, regardless of ambient temperature. This unique combination significantly enhances the product’s durability. We also use dual and triple extrusion layers to reinforce our products, ensuring longevity. Moreover, our digital printing technology allows us to provide designs that repeat only after 100 metres, offering a realistic and visually appealing finish while improving impact resistance and thermal stability.
What colour palette and customization options do you offer to your customers?
In India, customer preferences differ from those in Europe, so we’ve tailored our product range to meet Indian tastes. For instance, the ceiling product you see here was designed for the Indian market, offering colours like oak that resonate with local preferences. We continuously expand our colour profile, listening to market feedback to introduce new, favoured shades and incorporate them into our portfolio. Our commitment to customization ensures that our customers can find the perfect match for their interior designs.
What upcoming advancements can we expect from your solutions in the coming days?
One of our exciting developments is our facade products. If you examine the current facade offerings, they typically require substructure assembly, adding complexity and cost to installations. However, we are working on a revolutionary facade system that eliminates the need for this subassembly. This innovation, which we aim to launch by March, will not only reduce installation time but also significantly lower product costs. We are thrilled about this development, as it will make our products more accessible and convenient for our customers.
