Volvo and Srei BNP Paribas form India alliance

Volvo India and Srei BNP Paribas announced the formation of an alliance to launch a private label retail financing program in India with immediate effect. The programme branded as Volvo Financial Services is expected to strengthen the Volvo Group’s ability to provide full service financial solutions to its customers in India and customers of its JV with Eicher Group, viz. VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (VECV).

IIFCL may raise Rs. 14,000 cr this fiscal

State-owned India Infrastructure Finance Company Ltd (IIFCL) is planning to raise approximately Rs. 14,000 crore from various sources during the current fiscal to fund its business growth. After receiving approval from the government, it will be the second tranche. IIFCL had raised Rs. 10,000 crore through tax-free bonds in 2009 to provide re‑financing to banks for funding infrastructure projects.
