Vibhor Steel Tubes expands presence in Telangana

The new GI manufacturing plant of Vibhor Steel Tubes in Balanagar, Telangana, is going to boost production capacity, improving crash barrier safety and lowering maintenance costs.

A new galvanising iron (GI) manufacturing facility has been inaugurated in Balanagar, Mahabubnagar district, Telangana, by steel product maker Vibhor Steel Tubes. Crash barriers for use on shoulders, verges, medians, and high embankments are going to be produced by the unit. According to a release.

VSTL’s GI capacity in the state is expected to double, from 24,000 MTPA to 48,000 MTPA, with the completion of this new project. The zinc-coated barriers from VSTL are less expensive to maintain over time and safer than rigid barriers. According to the statement, it supplies its goods to Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh.

The company with its headquarters in Haryana invested two crore rupees to establish the new factory. In its first public offering (IPO), VSTL acquires Rs. 72.17 crore and debuted on the BSE in February 2024. “Our long-term growth strategy is expected to be significantly aided by the new facility,” says Vibhor Kaushik, managing director of Vibhor Steel Tubes.
