As urbanisation continues, the essence of green buildings will amplify. Furthermore the pandemic which we have collectively survived as a species too has played an important role in the realisation of why sustainable and green buildings are the way to go ahead. As a result it has intrinsically generated a lot of interest in the existing and evolving sustainable and green building trends and technologies. Buildings are one of the leading contributors to carbon emission. In fact, cities and urban areas are responsible for approximately 75% of carbon emissions. If these buildings continue to be developed and run in the traditional manner, the environmental damage will only progress.Hence it is never too late to look at the advantages and benefits of sustainable and green buildings. It will help us in addressing climate change, creating sustainable and thriving communities and also driving economic growth.
