Dalmia Bharat expands its presence in South

In response to the increasing demand for cement in South India, Dalmia Bharat Limited recently announced an increase in output of 1.0 MTPA at its Kadapa facility, bringing its capacity to 46.6 MTPA.

Leading cement manufacturer in India, Dalmia Bharat Limited (DBL), recently announced that it will begin producing an extra 1.0 MTPA commercially at its current facility in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh. The Kadapa integrated cement production complex had a 2.6 MTPA capacity at the time of operation. With this development, the company’s total installed capacity (including that of its subsidiaries) stands at 46.6 MTPA. With a planned investment of Rs. 207 crores, this strategic development seeks to strengthen Dalmia Bharat’s market position in the South and satisfy the region’s rising cement demand. The project is in line with the business’s long-term expansion plan, which calls for raising its installed capacity to 110–130 MTPA by 2031.

“The additional capacity expansion at Kadapa along with our recent expansion in Tamil Nadu reinforces our commitment to support the growing infrastructure needs in the Southern region,” comments Puneet Dalmia, Managing Director & CEO of Dalmia Bharat Limited, regarding the expansion. We anticipate great development possibilities due to the anticipated focus on the capital outlay and deployment of infrastructure overall, particularly in the Southern states where we remain a dominant player offering high-quality products.

Dalmia Bharat established its position as a pioneer in the cement business by forging a robust and long-lasting presence in Southern India. With production facilities positioned in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka, it is in a good position to meet the region’s expanding infrastructural needs. The company’s geographic advantage allows it to provide effective support for new projects including roads, railroads, airports, and ports, all of which have a positive impact on the economic growth and development of the region.
